Briarcrest Volunteers at Grahamwood!

Grahamwood Elementary Principal Pete Johnson has forged numerous beneficial public-private partnerships between the school and community organizations. One long-standing partnership is with Briarcrest High School where each year, Briarcrest students commit to a day of community service at Grahamwood. “I began this partnership with the support of a colleague of mine Eric Sullivan, Principal of Briarcrest High School,” states Johnson. “I appreciate how this ongoing relationship between our two schools, one public and one private, has faculty and students working on projects that benefit both of our educational organizations.” This year, a dozen Briarcrest students helped Grahamwood teachers with classroom projects, created hallway displays, mentored students, and helped supervise a Book Character Sock-Hop. A fun and academically enriching time was had by all!
