Hockey Comes to Grahamwood

Through the efforts of Coach Andrew Martin, hockey has come to Grahamwood Elementary. Grahamwood was selected by the Nashville Predators professional hockey team to run their fitness program for kids!

“I went to a training session in Nashville over a weekend and brought back 60 hockey sticks, 60 hockey balls, curriculum, training video, posters, and awards for students that complete the fitness challenge,” stated Coach Martin.

The program is designed to get kids moving and excited about the sport of hockey. “One of our goals at Grahamwood is to offer our students as many different experiences as possible,” says Principal Pete Johnson. “Thanks to Coach Martin, our students can now learn how hockey’s played.”
