Grahamwood Goes Rock Climbing

Grahamwood students develop character while Rock Climbing!

Grahamwood Elementary offers over two dozen clubs and extracurricular activities for our students. These programs include language, music, athletics, technology, academics, and so much more. For example, P.E. Instructor Andrew Martin sponsors a club called Fuel Up to Play (FUTP) that engages students in character building activities. “My 60 FUTP students recently went rock climbing at Memphis Rox. We took the trip not only to have fun, but to build on leadership skills we’ve been working on”, stated Martin. “They persevered climbing tough obstacles but the greatest thing was seeing them lend a helping hand to their peers to lift them up, and encourage them to keep climbing!” Every day, Grahamwood Elementary is proud to offer its students similar enriching activities that extend academic and social learning beyond the classroom.
