We are excited to announce that Bradley Bolden, a 5th grader at Grahamwood Elementary School, is the new Shelby County Schools Spelling Bee Champion. While Memphis City Schools had previously had countywide spelling champs, Bradley becomes the first student from Shelby County Schools to win this honor! “I was a little nervous,” Bradley said of competing in the county spelling bee. “There were a whole lot of students, so it took a long time. When I finally won, I felt relieved because I had been unsure of a couple of the words.” All of the Grahamwood Elementary community are proud of what Bradley has accomplished so far, and wish him the best as he moves on to the Regional Spelling Bee.
