Friday September 24th, Grahamwood's 5th grade girls took part in the “She Leads the Way” program. In partnership with Baptist Memorial Healthcare, She Leads the Way encourages girls to think about pursuing careers in the STEM field through Health Sciences. The group met virtually with Dr. Nina Tandon, CEO and co-founder of EpiBone, the first company to grow human bones for reconstruction. They also got to hear from several women in our Grahamwood family who have chosen a career in the Healthcare field. Thank you to Sylvia Albert, our new STEAM coordinator, and Jessica Tate, Grahamwood's new optional coordinator, who were instrumental in setting up this informative and exciting event.
