Grahamwood Students Walk/Run for St. Jude!

On Saturday, September 24, Grahamwood Elementary students and parents gave of their time to represent their school at the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.

Grahamwood students proudly carried their school banner for all to see. “We had so much fun last weekend participating in the Memphis St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer,” said Ravi Yarramsetty parent of Grahamwood Optional student Avanish Yarramsetty. With the help of nearly 8,000 participants and volunteers, the 5K fundraiser amassed more than $620,000 for the kids of St. Jude. “Two of the core beliefs we teach at Grahamwood are supporting others and giving back to the community,” states Principal Pete Johnson. “It is great to see our students and parents take the initiative to help others by supporting this worthy cause.”
