ARISE2Read at Grahamwood Elementary

Want to make a difference in the life of child? Well, you can - by becoming a volunteer for ARISE2Read at Grahamwood Elementary.

The Arise2Read program directly aligns to the school district's commitment to literacy, aiming to ensure that all students are reading on grade level by the time they enter third grade.

Our volunteers serve for 1 hour a week during the school day (from 8:45-9:45 any day Monday through Thursday) supporting two 2nd-grade students, one each for 30 minutes using a simple sight word approach. All materials are provided and volunteers receive training from the Arise2Read team.

Trainings take place at Bellevue Baptist Church, located at 2000 Appling Road, Cordova 38016.
